Located in the Botte du Hainaut, a few kilometres only from the French border, Chimay is well known for its Trappist beer, cheese and castle. Its race tracks are sure to wow you too.

The circuit and its layout

The route, 4.5 km long, slaloms through the superb landscapes and villages of the region. The original tracks, which opened in 1926, were twice as long. It proves quite technical, with chicanes breaking the straight parts of the itinerary. Being a road circuit, it is open to traffic outside events.

Events taking place on the tracks

A wide range of motor sport events take place here... The European Bug-in, one of the largest gatherings of VW and 'Cox' enthusiasts, takes place every two years. The Classic Bikes, a large fair featuring motorbike parts also is a favourite. So is the Classic Motorcycles focusing on bikes built before 1982. The Open Trophy and other events provide further thrills.

There is always something happening on the Chimay racetracks...
