Travel from Prehistoric to modern times thanks to the collections and animations of the Musée d'Archéologie et d'Histoire de Visé, Province of Liège.

The museum found its home in the former convent of the Sépulcrines, built in the Mosan Renaissance style then rebuilt after the first World War.

Permanent collections

There 4 different spaces to visit:

  • Archaeological gallery: 20th century fossils and artefacts
  • Architecture gallery: all about churches, houses, castles
  • Cultural heritage gallery,: fine art, folklore from the Middle Ages to now
  • Weapons gallery

Guided tours

  • Guided tours from 10 to 30 persons
  • Duration: 30 to 90 minutes
  • Booking is mandatory

Animations

The museum regularly organises animations for schools and the public along the year, as well as themed exhibitions.

  • Terroir (125 km)
  • Archaeological heritage (90 km)
